ICSE & ISC Year 2015 Examination Highlights

ICSE 2015 EXAMINATIONS

  • The number of schools that presented candidates in India & Abroad for the ICSE Examination is 1,927
  • The total number of candidates who appeared for the ICSE Examination is 1,58,833
  • Number of Boys who appeared for the ICSE Examination is 88,209
  • Number of Boys passed in ICSE is 86,551
  • Number of Boys unsuccessful in ICSE is 1,658
  • Number of Girls who appeared for the ICSE Examination is 70,624
  • Number of Girls passed in ICSE is 69,884
  • Number of Girls unsuccessful in ICSE is 740
  • The pass percentage for ICSE is 98.54%.
  • Girls have done better than Boys at the ICSE Examination
  • The pass percentage obtained in the major subjects in the ICSE Examination
  • English 99.72%; Bengali 99.95%; Hindi 99.94%; History, Civics & Geography 98.91%; Mathematics 96.86%; Science 97.92%; Commercial Studies 99.09%; Economics 95.82%; Physical Education 100%; Computer Applications 99.98%; Economic Applications 99.94%; Commercial Applications 99.98%;
  • The ICSE Examination has been conducted in 61 written subjects of which 22 are Indian languages and 15 are foreign languages.
  • For ICSE in India, the region has the best pass percentage i.e. % followed by the Southern region (99.66%), Western region (99.55%) & Eastern region (98.27%). Northern, ICSE has achieved 97.76%.

ISC 2015 EXAMINATIONS

  • The number of schools that presented candidates in India & Abroad for the ISC Examination is 909
  • The total number of candidates who appeared for the ISC Examination is 71,141
  • Number of Boys who appeared for the ISC Examination is 38,659
  • Number of Boys passed in ISC is 36,830
  • Number of Boys unsuccessful in ISC is 1,829
  • Number of Girls who appeared for the ISC Examination is 32,482
  • Number of Girls passed in ISC is 31,666
  • Number of Girls unsuccessful in ISC is 816
  • The pass percentage for ISC is 96.38%.
  • Girls have done better than Boys at the ISC Examination
  • The pass percentage obtained in the major subjects in the ISC Examination
  • English 99.68%; Bengali 99.76%; Hindi 99.78%; Economics 85.70%; Commerce 94.26%; Accounts 92.85%; Mathematics 93.12%; Physics 97.39%; Chemistry 98.84%; Biology 98.39%; Computer Science 99.64%;
  • The ISC Examination has been conducted in 52 written subjects of which 15 are Indian languages, 8 are foreign languages and 3 are classical languages.
  • For ISC in India, the Region has the best pass percentage i.e. %, followed by Southern Region (99.08%), Western Region (97.47%) and Northern Region (96.04%). Eastern, ISC has achieved pass percentage of 95.86%

ICSE – SPECIAL CATEGORY STATISTICS

  • 6660 Scheduled Caste candidates took the examination, achieving a pass percentage of 97.18%
  • 5286 Scheduled Tribe candidates took the examination, achieving a pass percentage of 96.48%
  • 24735 Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates took the examination, achieving a pass percentage of 98.28%
  • Special Difficulty cases for ICSE such as Dyslexia cases were 877 (69 candidates obtained above 90%); Visually Challenged cases were 29 (6 candidates obtained above 90%) and 7 candidates took their examinations in the Hospitals
  • The Council for the fifth year successfully conducted the centralized evaluation of answer scripts for the ICSE Examinations.
  • ICSE had 368 centralized evaluation centres across the Country.
  • The ICSE Examination Mark Sheets and Pass Certificates will reach the schools latest by 25th May 2015.

ISC – SPECIAL CATEGORY STATISTICS

  • 2248 Scheduled Caste candidates took the examination, achieving a pass percentage of 95.02%
  • 2478 Scheduled Tribe candidates took the examination, achieving a pass percentage of 93.22%
  • 7013 Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates took the examination, achieving a pass percentage of 95.71%
  • Special Difficulty cases for ISC such as Dyslexia cases were 116 (6 candidates obtained above 90%); Visually Challenged cases were 18 (4 candidates obtained above 90%) and 4 candidates took their examinations in the Hospitals
  • The Council for the fifth year successfully conducted the centralized evaluation of answer scripts for the ISC Examinations.
  • ISC had 365 centralized evaluation centres across the Country.
  • The ISC Examination Mark Sheets and Pass Certificates will reach the schools latest by 22nd May 2015.
