## ISC 2016 Commerce Solution + Examiner’s Comments – From the Council

Solution of ISC 2016 Commerce Paper as provided by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations.

1. Respected Sir/Ma’am..
If I write a command char c=’a’; c=c+1; It gives an error message. why does this happen? Is it because the character c changes to integer form when I write c=c+1??

• Use c++ instead of c=c+1
When you do c=c+1, the characters convert to ASCII equivalent numbers and 1 is added to it. The result is an integer, so you cannot store it in a char data-type.
If you want to use c=c+1, then modify it as c=(char)(c+1);

2. Sir,
Is it possible to provide similar solutions from the council for physics practicals too? Looking forward in anticipation
Regards,
